Directions:

1. The filter may be removed by turning it to the left approximately a 14 turn. When using versions without a replacement indication light, paste a month/year sticker on the filter or label the cartridge with the month/year it was placed to serve as a reminder when it is time to change it. Fill the new cartridge halfway with tap water to improve the flow of water from the dispenser once it has been replaced. Turn the filter slowly to the right until it comes to a complete halt. Press and hold the RESET WATER FILTER pad on the dispenser for 3 seconds, or until the light goes out or turns green, depending on your preference. If you do not keep your finger on the RESET pad for a long enough period of time, the light will remain on or remain red. If you keep your finger on the RESET pad for an extended period of time, the light will turn off and then back on. Please refer to your refrigerator’s owner’s handbook to find out how to reset it specifically. When a new water filter cartridge is fitted, it is possible for water to shoot out of the dispenser.

Using a 14-turn motion to the left, you may remove the filter. Install a month/year sticker on the filter or label the cartridge with the month/year it was placed to serve as a reminder to replace the filter for models without a replacement indicator light. Make sure to fill the new cartridge with tap water before replacing it to ensure that the dispenser continues to function properly after replacement. Gradually rotate the filter to the right until it comes to an abrupt halt DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FILTER OVERLY MUCH.
