The Siemens, formerly Controlotron, ultrasonic technology employs three main types: Transit-Time, WideBeam Transit-Time and Doppler signal processing. Transit-Time provides an innovative direct ultrasound transmission technique that ensures reliable and accurate signal detection for a wide range of processes. WideBeam Transit-Time is the preferred choice when the best accuracy is desired for both liquid and gas applications. Doppler technology makes it possible to measure liquids which contain very high levels of aeration or suspended solids.

SITRANS FUS1010

SITRANS FUS1010 (Liquid Flow) is the most versatile clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter available. Because it can operate in either WideBeam Transit Time or Doppler mode there is no need to change the meter when operating conditions change. SITRANS TF Field Transmitters

SITRANS TF Field Transmitters are installed directly on the sensor thermowell or near the sensor, if the conditions like vibration or ambient temperature allow no installation of head transmitters. These are available for intrinsic safety and explosion proof applications according to international standards.

Made of rugged die cast aluminum or long-lasting stainless steel, it transforms resistance thermometers, thermocouples, Ohm and mV signals into a load independent DC current corresponding to sensor characteristic or a digital signal according to Profibus PA, Fieldbus standard, or Foundation Fieldbus. The remote mounted sensor prevents the transmitter from heating up at high temperature; there are no vibrations and oscillations due to long neck tubes and protective pipes with SITRANS TF. This transmitter is used where other transmitters can't cope.

Rail Transmitters

Rail Transmitters SITRANS TR200, TR300, and TW varies in the wiring technology.

The TWO-Wire TR-Series transmitter is installed in cabinets, or applicable housings in the field. The user can maintain several sensors from one point. 4-20mA-signal and auxiliary power will be lead over two wires.

The FOUR-Wire TW-Series transmitter is installed in the control room and allows universal use. Connected directly with auxiliary power, they support several output signals, relay function and further features.
