Ultrasonic
The Siemens, formerly Controlotron, ultrasonic technology employs three main types: Transit-Time, WideBeam Transit-Time and Doppler signal processing. Transit-Time provides an innovative direct ultrasound transmission technique that ensures reliable and accurate signal detection for a wide range of processes. WideBeam Transit Time is the preferred choice when the best accuracy is desired for both liquid and gas applications. Doppler technology makes it possible to measure liquids which contain very high levels of aeration or suspended solids.
SIEMENS SITRANS FUS1010SITRANS FUS1010 (Liquid Flow) is the most versatile clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter available. Because it can operate in either WideBeam Transit Time or Doppler mode there is no need to change the meter when operating conditions change. This makes it suitable for virtually any liquid, even those with high aeration or suspended solids. Positive Displacement
Positive displacement meters, or PD meters, operate by repeatedly filling and emptying compartments of a known volume with a liquid. The flow rate is then calculated based on the number of times these compartments are filled and emptied.
Brooks BM Oval Gear MetersBrooks BM Oval Gear Meters are low flow positive displacement flow meters designed for applications requiring the high accuracy measurement of clean liquids with viscosities less than 1000 Cp.
